This is one of six releases of barrel aged Imperial Stout. One brew, split into six different casks and left to develop and absorb the character and flavour embedded in the wood. This one has been resting in a Longmorn ex bourbon barrel. The Speyside Whisky was spicy with ginger and black pepper, fruit forward with peachy stone fruit and rounded out with vanilla notes. It will develop over time but this is excellent to drink right now.
